After his studies as a commercial and business engineer, Kristof started working at Unilever in 1993. The then Interbrew company snatched him up in 1995 to become Brand Manager for Stella Artois. He quickly rose through the ranks, first as Marketing Manager for Stella Artois and Hoegaarden, and then as Business Development Manager for the UK.
In 2000, he tried his hand at entrepreneurship and founded Under the Cork, an e-commerce in wine. Then he went back to his heimat. At Unilever, he spent twelve years in marketing and business unit roles across categories (food, beverages, ice cream, spreads, dressings) and countries (Egypt, Poland, Russia, the Netherlands, Belgium).
He then founded in 2014 TripleA Services and provided as a consultant actionable advisory services for various brands in the fmcg and media sectors. In 2016, Swinkels Family Brewers, the Dutch brewer that had acquired a 60% stake in Palm Belgian Craft Brewers, called on his services. His mission: to breathe new life into Belgian brands. The temporary consultant’s mission eventually turned into a position of Global Business Development and Marketing Director, a job he exchanged for that of General Manager Middle-East & Africa in September 2019.
