Stefanie Veraghtert

Stefanie is a social entrepreneur that has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a master’s degree in European Comparative Social Studies. Diagnosed with a stadium 4 Cervical Cancer at the age of 26 she was a young adolescent (AYA) cancer patient. After her treatment and healing she decided to make a big career shift and inspire others with her story. She worked with several stakeholders in the health sector and today she is running her own social enterprise ‘The Big C.’ that is all about health awareness, innovation and empowerment. As a motivational speaker, storyteller and incubator for innovative projects in the healthcare she is promoting patient-driven innovation, human-centered design thinking and patient empowerment.
